That's fascinating - I didn't know about these shows.

You remind me of an interesting show I read about long ago. Apparently Dick Powell did an hour-long show as Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe. Of course, Powell characterised him in the movie "Farewell My Lovely" (aka "Murder My Sweet"), but I did read he reprised the role in a TV version of, I think, "The Long Goodbye." I would so love to see that - I vainly hoped Warners would have tracked it down for the DVD release of FML/MMS, but no!
